Meeting Location

Lima Astronomical Society meetings and programs are held at Schoonover Observatory in Lima, Ohio . During the summer months we open the observatory to the public at least twice a month for public observing, weather permitting. Schoonover Observatory is easily accessible from the SR 81 exit of Interstate 75, or via main arteries in the City of Lima.

Dark Sky Locations

Lima Astronomical Society’s dark sky site, located in Kendrick Woods, is open to members and their guests. Public events are hosted in the main park area of Kendrick Woods. You can learn more about these by monitoring our Facebook page or the Kendrick Woods web site.
