Meeting Location

Lima Astronomical Society meetings are held at Schoonover Observatory in Lima, Ohio on the first Friday of the month at 8:00pm, preceded by a board meeting at 7:00pm. During the summer months we open the observatory to the public every Friday night at dusk, weather permitting. Schoonover Observatory is easily accessible from the SR81 exit of Interstate 75, or via main arteries in the City of Lima.

Dark Sky Locations

Lima Astronomical Society’s dark sky site, located in Kendrick Woods, is open to members and their guests. Public events are hosted in the main park area of Kendrick Woods. You can learn more about these by monitoring our Facebook page or the Kendrick Woods web site.
